Get to Know Us

Since our founding in 2004, the ReAlignment Group has been a consistent leader in transforming the design and construction industry. From our beginnings in driving team cultural development & alignment, to Lean Design & Construction practices and Integrated Project Delivery, we continue to seek out collaborative and transformative approaches to project delivery.  

 

Our coaches are veterans of the construction industry, and we have each gone through our Lean transformation through Ah-ha moments, a willingness to try new things and a lot of fortune along the way to be influenced, guided, and challenged by big thinkers, mentors, and peers along the way.  We bring a no-nonsense, practical hands-on approach to our coaching, teaching, and facilitation to projects and organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

Christian Pikel

Managing Principal

Christian has spent his 25+ year career in the construction industry focused primarily on collaborative methods of project delivery and continuous improvement.  Starting out in in design-build, he has been engaged in integrated project delivery for over 12 years first as a collaborative partner, then as an owner project lead and now consulting coaching. A balance of design/build trade, owner and preconstruction experiences with a lean production process improvement focus going back to the beginning of his career and intuitive facilitation skills allows Christian to coach from a unique perspective and created Ah-ha moments and relationships across all levels of the project org chart.  Christian is a Lean Construction Institute approved instructor, Certified Practitioner and recipient of the 2020 Chairman's Award.

Tim Ott

Associate & Senior Coach

Tim is a 35-year veteran of the construction industry and a career owner’s representative. Tim brings a unique perspective and understanding of a project owner’s needs. Specializing in Lean construction and integrated forms of agreement, he offers insights to the owner’s challenges of adopting these tools and techniques needed for successful Lean construction/IPD projects.

Shannyn Heyer

Chief Financial Officer

Shannyn has worked 20+ years as an accounting and business management specialist with broad experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing and business management across multiple industries and sectors.  Specializing in small business, startups and industry associations she helps companies ensure the achievement of corporate objectives and strategic initiatives by applying lean process improvement principles, collaborative methods and sounds financial solutions.
